2016 Indigo Chardonnay

Fruit was sourced from Beechworth & the Alpine Valleys with the resultant wine matured in French oak barriques of varying ages. Brilliant pale straw colour with greenish tinged edges and a watery hue. Aromas of nectarines, grapefruit and citrus overlay subtle nougat, dried honey and gun flint notes. Medium bodied, there’s good richness to the ripe nectarine, dried honey and citrus fruit which sits atop delicate biscuity oak elements and infusions of gun flint. Finishes dry with a faintly creamed mouthfeel and good fresh acidity. Aftertaste of ripe nectarines, citrus, dried honey, light biscuit and faint gun flint infusions.
Drink over the next 4-5 years.
