Totally opaque black dark red core with a deep dark red hue. Pronounced liquorice aromas sail over a back drop of dark plum, choc mint, vanillin oak and spice. Medium to full in body with a plush textural feel, initial ripe dark plum and liquorice flavours show good richness but are overwhelmed by vanillin oak on the back palate. Some choc mint and spice are also apparent on the finish. Velvet smooth tannins with a lingering vanillin oak dominated aftertaste.
