2016 Goodman Nikkal Pinot Noir

This Pinot Noir is a blend of two vineyards, one in the Christmas Hills and one in the heart of the Yarra Valley at Coldstream. It was made through whole berry open fermentation followed by maturation in French oak barrels for 9 months.
Translucent dark red colour with a crimson hue. Fragrant aromas of ripe red cherries and strawberries are mixed in with some anise and meaty characters followed by spicy end notes. Supple and fruity the palate features generous flavours of spicy dark cherries, earthy cedar and a touch of meatiness. Bright finish with velvet like tannins. Aftertaste of juicy ripe dark cherries, earthy cedar, meaty characters and spice.
Drink over next 2-3 years.
