2016 Golden Ball La-Bas Chardonnay

Brilliant pale straw colour with a distinctive greenish tinge around the edges and a watery hue. Complex aromas of white peach, nectarine, dried honey and gun flint stream out of the glass followed by toast, cashew and citrusy nougat notes. Light to medium weight yet rich and creamy in its feel, the lengthy palate is filled with fleshy white peach, nectarine and dried honey flavours laced with gun flint. Citrusy nougat, roasted almond and spice nuances then follow on. Perfectly balanced acidity with a very long aftertaste.
Cellar 5-6 years.
