2016 Gioiello Estate Syrah

Matured in French oak barriques for 18 months. Deep dark red black colour with a dark red to brick red hue. Ripe plum and liquorice scents are meshed with fennel, smoky vanillin cedar, dried meats and spicy pepper. Fleshy spiced dark plum, liquorice and fennel flavours overlay toasty cedar, earth, subtle black olive and spice. Velvety tannins with a medium to long smoky dark plum, liquorice, dried meat, fennel and spicy black olive aftertaste.
Drink over the next 1-2 years.
