Matured in French oak barriques for 18 months. Deep dark red black colour with a dark brick red hue. Aromas of blackcurrant and rhubarb mix with black olive, tobacco leaf, dusty cedar and spice. Mid weighted the palate serves up slightly stewy currant and mulberry fruits over spicy cedar, dried herb and tobacco leaf characters. Sturdy yet fine grained tannins with a slightly dryish aftertaste that has lingering black olive and tobacco leaf characters to it.
