2016 Giammarino Cabernet Sauvignon

Impressively coloured the wine displays an impenetrable inky black core with a very deep dark red black hue. Aromas of blackcurrant have a slightly varnishy edge. Cedary tobacco, dried herb and spice notes are also evident. Rich blackcurrant and plum fruit swamps the palate underscored by vanillin cedar, dried herbs and spice. Ripe chewy tannins provide some grippy firmness to the finish. Moderate aftertaste.
