2016 Gemtree Uncut Shiraz

Certified organic and matured in French oak for 18 months. Impenetrable inky black core with a deep dark purple black tinged hue. Freshly crushed blackberry and plum aromas combine with inky liquorice, vanillin cedar and spice. Medium to full bodied with a fleshy mouthfeel the youthful palate has flavours of inky blackberries and liquorice on display over lightly scorched vanillin cedar, faint earth and spice. There’s a touch of bright acidity on the finish with sturdy but fine grained tannins. Aftertaste of inky blackberries, liquorice, earthy vanillin cedar and spice.
