2016 Geddes Old Vine Shiraz

From 73 year old vines matured in French oak. Dense black dark red heart with a deep dark red black hue. Pronounced aniseed and dark plum scents are trailed by toasty vanillin oak, earthy fennel and peppered meat notes. Rich aniseed and black plum fruits swamp the full bodied palate with scorched earth, vanillin oak, fennel and blackpepper elements lying underneath. Opulently textured with ripe chewy tannins providing structure. It has a long powerful finish that has a lingering earthy leather character to it.
Drink over the next 4-5 years.
