2016 Erste + Neue Pinot Grigio

Full and round this is a beautifully textured Pinot Grigio that’s full of flavour.

Brilliant pale straw colour with a faint apricot tinge around the outskirts and a watery hue. The nose displays good potency with lifted aromas of ripe pears and baked apples intermixed with honeysuckle followed by some spice end notes. Rich and textured to the point of being almost Pinot Gris like (in the traditional sense) the palate dishes up mouthfilling flavours of ripe pears and red apples overlaid by honeysuckle, a hint of quince and spice. Dry finish with well balanced acidity. Excellent length with a long aftertaste of ripe pears, apples, honeysuckle and spice.
Drink over the next 1-2 years.
