2016 Ellis Wines Signature Label Heathcote Shiraz

Matured in a mix of new and seasoned French and American oak barriques for 12 months. Totally opaque black dark red core with a deep dark red black tinged hue. Pronounced aromatics of ripe blackberry, dark plum, liquorice and dark chocolate flow from the glass followed by vanillin oak, a hint of earth and spice. Rich and plush in its mouthfeel the palate is flooded with opulent liquorice, blackberry and dark plum fruits which marry into elements of dark chocolate, vanillin oak and spice. Excellent power with velvet smooth tannins and a long seductive aftertaste.
Drink over the next 5-6 years.
