2016 Ellis Wines Premium Heathcote Shiraz

Aged for 14 months in new and 1 year old French oak barriques. Midnight black core with a dark red black tinged hue. Intense liquorice and black cherry aromas meld into smoky vanillin oak, fennel and spicy pepper scents. Fleshy and opulent the palate is decorated with a combination of liquorice, black cherry and dark plum fruits which are underscored by vanillin cedar, fennel and pepper characters. Velvet smooth tannins with ample power and a long plush finish.
Drink over the next 5-6 years.
