Combines intensity and richness with a superb fresh finish.

An equal parts blend of Grenache, Syrah and Mourvedre. Superb inky black dark purple colour with a deep dark purple hue. Intense aromatics of black cherries and black raspberries along with some liquorice sail out of the glass followed by light scorched earth, incense, herbs du provence and spice notes. Rich black raspberry, black cherry and liquorice flavours take on an opulent feel over a ripe chewy base of tannins. Elements of dried herbs, subtle earthy leather and spicy pepper then kick in. Excellent power and concentration finishing dry and grippy. Long black cherry, black raspberry, liquorice, herbs du provence, earthy incense and spicy pepper aftertaste.
Cellar 5-6 years.
Alc. 14.5%

Other Reviews….
Tasted from concrete, where it's been maturing since the beginning, the 2016 Cotes du Rhone Villages Cuvee Trois Cepages is equal parts Grenache, Syrah and Mourvèdre from the commune of Ste. Cécile les Vignes. This is lovely stuff—dark, rich, earthy and savory—supple upfront but adding dusty tannins on the long finish. It should drink well for close to a decade. Drink 2018-2025.
