2016 Domaine Gallety Valle du Rhone Cuvee Speciale

A blend of 50% Syrah and 50% Grenache sourced from vines 40-45 years old and aged in oak barrels for 14-15 months. Totally opaque black dark red colour with a dark red hue. Hailing from the glass are intensely perfumed like aromatics of black raspberries infused with Provincial herbs followed by hints of liquorice, incense and spice. Medium bodied with a feeling of freshness the palate features bright black raspberry, dark cherry and liquorice fruits over a back drop of scorched earth, infusions of incense and peppered herbs. Vibrant fresh acidity and fine grained tannins with a lively mid length aftertaste.
Drink over the next 5-6 years.
