Impenetrable inky black heart with a deep dark red black hue. Wafting out of the glass are heady scents of liquorice, blackberry, dark plum and dark chocolate which mix with vanillin oak, earthy mocha and spice notes. Rich, weighty and opulent in the mouth, lavish blackberry, liquorice and dark plum fruits overlay a back drop of earthy vanillin oak, mocha and spice. Velvety yet sturdily built tannins provide excellent structure. Plenty of depth with a long plush yet relatively refined finish.
Drink over the next 5-6 years.
Alc. 15%

Other Reviews….
A massive full-bodied shiraz, but better balanced than the Black Label, with less oak and tannins to be dealt with, an extra 4 months in barrel also helping. The net result is a good example of its style. Drink by 2046.
