2016 Cooper Burns Shiraz

Impenetrable inky black colour with a deep dark red black hue. Pronounced aniseed, blackberry and dark plum aromas form in the glass slowly melding into lightly smoked vanillin oak and spicy pepper. Full bodied, very rich and possessing a dense voluptuous texture the palate is flooded with plush aniseed, luscious blackberry and dark plum flavours which marry to toasty vanillin oak, some fennel and spicy pepper. Silky smooth tannins. Excellent power with a very long aniseed, ripe blackberry, dark plum, smoky vanillin oak, subtle fennel and pepper aftertaste.
