Other Reviews....
The 2016 Suau has a pleasant honeyed bouquet with hints of orange blossom and marmalade, the second bottle tasted at Domaine de Chevalier expressing a little more exuberance than the first. The palate is well balanced with well-judged acidity. It is not an extravagant Sauternes, but it is certainly pretty and elegant on the finish, plus the tension is such that you'll soon be returning for another sip.

Beautiful, caramelized-citrus and floral-honey aromas make this a very modern Sauternes that neatly combines the honeyed character you expect from the appellation with lovely freshness and a succulent finish that pulls you back for more. Pure semillon, from organically grown grapes. Great value for money.

A ripe and broad style, with a mix of ginger, piecrust, apple chutney, green fig and glazed peach flavors rolling through. Spice and almond hints show on the finish. Best from 2022 through 2036. 833 cases made.

The 2016 Château Suau is a terrific Barsac, offering ample sweetness in its white peach, orange blossom, and white flower-driven aromas and flavors. While it doesn’t have a huge amount of botrytis, it’s pure, medium-bodied, and has good acidity. Drink this beauty over the coming 10-15 years. This is made by the team at Domaine de Chevalier and is well worth seeking out.
