2016 Charles Melton Cabernet Sauvignon

Impenetrable black dark red colour with a deep dark red black tinged hue. Pronounced ripe blackcurrant and liquorice fruit aromas overlay vanillin cedar and faint tobacco with spicy bay leaf end notes. Rich ripe blackcurrant flavours flood the palate with liquorice, tobacco, spicy vanillin cedar and bay leaf then chiming in. Quite opulent in its feel with sturdy yet velvet like tannins providing the framework. Excellent power with a long blackcurrant, liquorice, tobacco, spicy vanillin cedar and bay leaf laced aftertaste. A rich, generously textured Barossa Cabernet with good underlying structure.
