Other Reviews....
The 2016 Blanc de Blancs La Haute Lemblé has turned out brilliantly, unwinding in the glass with scents of crisp green apple, blanched almonds, white flowers, crushed chalk and nutmeg. Medium to full-bodied, taut and incisive, with a racy spine of acidity and a concentrated, tightly wound core, it's long and penetrating, concluding with a mineral, mandarin-inflected finish. As readers will remember, this series is from a 0.11-hectare south-facing plot planted with five different massal selections of Chardonnay.

The 2016 Blanc de Blancs La Haute Lemblé is a beautiful wine. In this vintage, the Haute Lemblé is a bit more tropical than it often is. Time in the glass brings out hints of passion fruit and white flowers. Bright and energetic, with terrific focus, the Haute Lemblé is also a bit more open-knit in the early going than it can be. I doubt that will be much of an issue given that most bottles disappear from the market and are enjoyed almost as soon as they are released. Zero dosage. Disgorged: April, 2020.
