Matured in American and French oak hogsheads. Deep dark red black colour with a dark red hue. Pronounced liquorice and dark plum aromas mix with toasty cedar, scorched earth and spicy leather notes. Mid weighted flavours of dark plum and liquorice are almost elegant in their feel. Dries out a touch towards the finish with toasty oak, earthy leather and pepper characters also apparent. Modest power with fine grained tannins and a relatively light, savoury aftertaste.
