Matured in French oak hogsheads for 15 months. Impenetrable black dark red core with a deep dark red black tinged hue. Aromas of blackcurrant are overlaid by distinct barnyard like characters with leather, vanillin cedar, subtle tobacco and spice notes also present. Medium to full bodied, prominent leathery barnyard characters run through the blackcurrant fruit with some spicy vanillin cedar also evident. Bright acidity on the finish with slightly chalky tannins. Lingering leathery barnyard aftertaste.
