2016 Agathist Alchemy Second Wine Grenache

Semi translucent ruby red colour with a crimson red hue. Fragrant aromas of spicy ripe red raspberries, plums and liquorice intermingle with hints of incense and earth. Light to medium weight with a succulent richness and supple mouthfeel the palate dishes up a delicious flavour profile of ripe raspberries, strawberries, plums and a touch of liquorice over vanillin cedar, faint scorched earth and spicy pepper. Silky smooth tannins. Excellent power and concentration without being heavy. Concludes long with lightly spiced juicy dark raspberries, plums, liquorice, vanillin cedar and faint earthy incense infusions.
Delicious drinking now but will also cellar a further 5-6 years.
