Matured for 14 months in French and American oak. Totally opaque black dark red colour with a dark red hue. Pronounced blackcurrant and liquorice aromas have a bay leaf overlay with vanillin cedar, earthy black olive and spice notes following on. Medium bodied, generous blackcurrant and red liquorice fruits show ample richness over a back drop of vanillin cedar, earthy black olives and bay leaf. A sturdy tannin structure firms up the finish which leads into a medium to long aftertaste.
