2015 Yelland & Papps Second Take Grenache

This Grenache was wild fermented and incorporated 31% whole bunch with maturation taking place in old French oak for 8 months. Semi translucent bright red colour with a crimson red hue. The nose displays ripe dark raspberry and strawberry jam aromas followed by vanillin confectionary and spice. Very ripe palate with sweet jammy flavours of dark raspberries and strawberries over some vanillin confectionary infusions and spice. Soft acidity with velvety tannins and an almost luscious mouthfeel. Aftertaste of ripe dark raspberries, strawberry jam and vanillin confectionary.
Drink over the next 2-3 years.
