2015 Yalumba The Menzies Coonawarra Cabernet Sauvignon

Matured for 21 months in French and Hungarian hogsheads and barriques. Totally opaque black dark red colour with a dark red hue. Pronounced blackcurrant and liquorice scents have a bay leaf overlay with cedary tobacco, black olive and spice notes also evident. Medium to full bodied with blackcurrant and mulberry fruits to the fore, some earth, cedary tobacco and bay leaf elements follow on. Firmish tannins give the wine a sturdy feel. Medium to long aftertaste.
