2015 Willunga 100 The Hundred Single Vineyard Blewitt Springs Grenache

From 80 year old dry grown bush vines. Deep dark red core with black tinged edges and a dark red hue. Fragrant dark raspberry, ripe cherry and liquorice scents overlay smoky earth and pepper. Succulent dark raspberry and dark cherry fruits swamp the medium weight palate with elements of liquorice, scorched earth and spicy pepper lying beneath. Velvety yet structured tannins and nicely balanced bright acidity provide a good framework. Long spicy dark raspberry, liquorice, scorched earth and pepper aftertaste.
Drink over the next 3-4 years.
