Matured in a combination of old French and American oak for 9 months. Totally opaque black colour with a bright purple red hue. Plum and black cherry aromas are mixed in with some liquorice and light spicy cedar. Plump and juicy the palate has expressive flavours of ripe dark plum, liquorice and ripe black cherries over vanillin confectionary and spice. Soft velvety tannins. Medium to long aftertaste of ripe dark plum, liquorice, ripe black cherries and spice.
