2015 Warrabilla Reserve Durif

Totally opaque midnight black core with a deep dark purple black tinged hue. The nose is a touch reserved with aromas of freshly crushed plum and Morello cherries gradually emerging over a backdrop of liquorice, dried herbs and vanillin cedar. Full bodied the palate is quite fresh and youthful with flavours of Morello cherry and plum to the fore over some liquorice, vanillin cedar and spice. Bright finish with finely grained yet solidly built tannins. Medium to long aftertaste of freshly crushed Morello cherries, plum, liquorice and spicy vanillin cedar. Requires some bottle age to better integrate and build complexity.
