2015 Vue on Halcyon Merlot

Very deep dark red black colour with a dark red hue. Elevated mulberry and tobacco leaf scents mix with dark currants and hints of plum followed by stalky herb, capsicum like notes and spicy cedar. Medium bodied with a supple textural feel, the palate features flavours of ripe mulberries, dark currants and tobacco underscored by stalky herb infusions and spicy cedar. Very well integrated, slightly drying tannins. Concludes with medium length, the stalky tobacco and dried herb components becoming more prominent on the finish.
