Totally opaque black dark red colour with a deep dark red black tinged hue. Elevated red to black currant aromas intermingle with mulberry, tobacco, vanillin cedar, earthy black olive and spicy dried herbs. Richly fruited and medium to full in body with a fleshy mouthfeel, the palate is decorated with spicy ripe blackcurrant, black olive, cigar box, earth and bay leaf flavours. Slightly dryish yet well integrated tannins firm up the finish a touch. Excellent depth and power with a long spicy blackcurrant and earthy black olive aftertaste.
Drink over the next 5-6 years.
