2015 Torbreck The Steading

A blend of 76% Grenache, 12% Mataro and 12% Shiraz matured for 20 months in older French hogsheads. Totally opaque black dark red colour with a dark red hue. Pronounced black raspberry, dark plum and liquorice aromas flow out of the glass overlaying vanillin cedar, a touch of earth and spice. Decadently rich flavours of black raspberries, liquorice and dark plums saturate the palate underscored by notions of lightly scorched earth, vanillin cedar and spice. Silky smooth tannins are beautifully married to the fruit within a soft fleshy mouthfeel. Long sumptuous aftertaste of ripe black raspberries, liquorice, dark plums, subtle scorched earth and spicy vanillin oak.
Drink over the next 5-6 years.
