2015 Torbreck The Pict Mataro

Totally opaque black dark red colour with a deep dark red hue. Powerful aromatics of dark plums, liquorice and dark chocolate waft out of the glass with an undercard of lightly earthed vanillin cedar, subtle incense and spice. Full in body, very rich and opulently textured the palate is awash with dark plum, liquorice and very ripe blueberry which sits over vanillin cedar, scorched earth and spice. Silky tannins. Superb power and concentration with a long succulent aftertaste of dark plums, liquorice, ripe blueberries, vanillin oak, subtle scorched earth and spice.
Drink over the next 5-6 years.
