2015 The Ninth Mile Mayday Hills Pinot Noir

Aged for 12 months in French oak. Semi translucent dark red colour with black tinged edges and a dark crimson red hue. Fragrant aromas of ripe dark cherries and strawberries blossom from the glass followed by lightly toasted cedar, some meatiness and spice. Medium weight and deliciously rich the palate is generously endowed with flavours of ripe dark cherries, plum and strawberries over some meaty characters and spicy oak. Excellent concentration and depth. Velvet smooth tannins with bright acidity on the finish. Long sumptuous aftertaste of ripe dark cherries, plums, strawberries, lightly toasted spicy oak and a hint of dried meats.
Drink over the next 4-5 years.
