2015 Te Mata Estate Coleraine

A blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Cabernet Franc. Excellent colour displaying a totally opaque black dark red core with a youthful bright dark purple hue. Intense aromatics of ripe blackcurrant, a hint of liquorice and ripe mulberry drift through the olfactory senses underpinned by vanillin cedar, light scorched earth, dried herbs and spice. Very Bordeaux like, the medium bodied elegant yet concentrated palate shows ample richness and has plenty of structure from the ripe yet firmish tannins. Generous red and blackcurrant flavours combine with ripe mulberries over vanillin cedar, light earthy tobacco elements, dried herbs and spice. Dry, slightly chewy finish. Long ripe red and blackcurrant, mulberry, vanillin cedar, earth and spicy dried herb aftertaste.
