Established in 1998, Silkwood Estate has produced a great value Pinot that has the added bonus of a few years bottle age behind it. Semi translucent dark red colour with a light red hue. Fragrant violet, ripe cherry and strawberry scents meld into forest floor and spicy anise notes. Light in body the supplely textured palate dishes up flavours of dark cherries and strawberries with an undercard of forest floor and spicy cedar. Velvet smooth tannins, concluding with a dark cherry, strawberry, forest floor and spice aftertaste. An excellent quaffing Pinot.
