2015 Seville Estate Shiraz

Opaque dark red black colour with a bright dark red hue. Laden with blackpepper are scents of blackberry and liquorice which are followed by some meaty notes, light earth and subtle spicy vanillin cedar. Medium weight with an elegant feel but good richness the peppery palate features blackberry and liquorice flavours with a distinct blackpepper overlay. Dried meats, earth and spice sit beneath. Slightly dryish finish with robust tannins imparting some grip. Blackpepper infused aftertaste of blackberry, liquorice, dried meats, vanillin cedar and spicy earth.
Cellar 6-8 years.

It has all the appeal and vibrancy of youth with its dark red fruit, the lifted fragrance from 20% whole bunches in the ferment, the pepper, the gum leaves and the savoury tone. It's medium-bodied with ripe, finely shaped tannins and raspberry-fresh acidity. Youth will give way to a more complex wine in a few years. That's life. Drink by 2026.
