2015 S.C. Pannell Tempranillo Touriga

Fruit for this wine is sourced from both McLaren Vale and the Barossa. Totally opaque black dark purple colour with a dark purple red hue. Nosing reveals aromatics of spicy dried cherries, dark plum and subtle liquorice followed by some dried herb and cedar end notes. Medium to full bodied with good density and a chewy finish the palate possesses flavours of rich black cherries, plum and liquorice over some meaty earth like characters and a touch of leather finishing quite dry and spicy. Solidly built tannins give the fruit a very structured frame to work around. Long savoury aftertaste of dried spices, black cherries, liquorice, meaty earth characters and new leather.
