2015 S.C. Pannell Syrah

Includes 20% whole bunch with maturation taking place in large French oak vats and puncheons for a period of 10 months. Totally opaque black dark purple colour with a dark purple hue. The nose opens with a burst of white pepper followed by aromas of ripe dark cherries, red liquorice, fresh herb infusions and spicy cedar. Medium bodied the palate has a savoury flavour profile with plenty of pepper and spice. Dark cherries infused with white pepper are intermixed with red liquorice and fresh herb infusions. Some spicy cedar also present on the bright finish. Finely grained tannins. Long aftertaste of dark cherries, white pepper, red liquorice, spicy cedar and fresh herbs. A savoury, Northern Rhone styled Syrah.
