2015 Rockbare Shiraz

Over the years Rockbare has developed a flair for producing big rich South Australian reds that are chocka block full of flavour and over deliver big time. This 2015 rendition of their McLaren Vale Shiraz is no exception. Barrel matured for 18 months in 50% New and 50% older French & American Hogsheads.

A rich, fleshy McLaren Vale Shiraz, flooded with luscious fruit that delivers ripping value for money year after year.

Superb inky black dark purple colour with a very deep dark purple black hue. Pronounced aromatics of liquorice, ripe dark plums and black cherries leap from the glass with a faint hint of choc mint also present over a background of vanillin cedar and spice. Rich, full bodied and lusciously fruited the palate is swamped with opulently textured liquorice, dark plum and blackberry flavours over some subtlety toasted vanillin oak and spice. Bright youthful finish with velvety perfectly integrated tannins. Long liquorice, ripe dark plum, blackberry, toasty vanillin oak and spice conclusion.
