2015 Principe Corsini Don Tommaso Chianti Classico Gran Selezione

A blend of 80% Sangiovese and 20% Merlot. Opaque dark red black colour with a dark red hue. Uplifted blackcurrant and dark cherry aromas meld into earthy tobacco, vanillin cedar, dried herb and subtle spicy leather notes. Medium bodied with ample richness yet structurally elegant and refined, red and blackcurrant fruits lead the charge followed by elements of earthy dried herbs, dusty cedar, tobacco and spice. Dryish, firm and slightly grippy tannins provide the framework along with some bright acidity. Finishes medium to long and rustic.
