2015 Petaluma White Label Cabernet Sauvignon

Aged in French oak barriques for 16 months. Totally opaque black crimson red colour with a bright crimson purple hue. Lifted blackcurrant and ripe mulberry scents float out of the glass followed by vanillin cedar, tobacco, hints of black olive and spice. The palate combines rich blackcurrant and mulberry fruits with a classically elegant feel and structure. Cedary tobacco characters, traces of bay leaf and spice follow on. Very fine grained tannins provide an excellent framework and impart some dryness on the finish. Medium to long aftertaste of blackcurrant, ripe mulberries, spicy vanillin cedar, subtle tobacco and light bay leaf.
