100% Syrah. Superb inky black core with a deep dark red black tinged hue. Sniffing reveals pronounced ripe black cherry and liquorice aromatics with an undercard of scorched earth, vanillin cedar, dried herbs and pepper. Dense ripe black cherry and liquorice flavours fill the medium to full bodied palate over a back drop of earthy incense characters, dried meats and pepper. Ripe chewy tannins impart some dryness to the finish. Aftertaste of black cherries, liquorice, earthy incense infusions, a touch of leather and spicy pepper.
