2015 Patrick Estate Shiraz

Matured in new American and French oak. Inky black colour with a deep dark red black hue. Wafting out of the glass are heady scents of ripe blackberry, dark plum and liquorice which meld into vanillin oak, mocha and spice. Lavish blackberry, plum and liquorice fruits are pitted against prominent vanillin oak with some earth and spicy mocha characters also present. Plush and opulent with velvet smooth tannins and good freshness. The vanillin oak component lingering on the aftertaste which may detract from some tasters overall impression.
Drink over the next 5-6 years.
