2015 Noogoora Short Rib Shiraz

Noogoora is the personal project of Pieter Breugem, former winemaker of the top selling Dr. John’s Willunga Shiraz. Sourced from the Willunga and Blewit Springs districts of McLaren Vale malolactic fermentation was completed in older French and American hogsheads before being transferred to American hogsheads for 14 months maturation. Inky black core with a dark red black tinged hue. Intense blackberry and liquorice aromas take flight over spicy dark plum, lightly smoked vanillin cedar and pepper notes. Rich seductive flavours of spicy blackberry, liquorice and dark plum flood the mouth underpinned by vanillin cedar and pepper. The medium to full bodied frame has an opulent feel and silky smooth tannins, finishing with good freshness. Outstanding length with a long moreish aftertaste that will see the bottle quickly evaporate.
