2015 Mr Riggs Scarce Earth Shiraz

Inky black core with a deep dark red black hue. A melange of ripe blackberry, liquorice and dark plum aromas show plenty of intensity over hints of dark chocolate, toasty vanillin cedar, faint earth and spice. Full bodied, rich and velvety, a core of succulent blackberry, dark plum and liquorice flavours drive through to a long finish. Underscoring the opulently textured fruit is vanillin cedar, traces of earthy dark chocolate and spice. Silky smooth yet structural tannins frame the lavish fruit. Long rich, plump conclusion. Winestate Magazine’s shiraz of the year.
