2015 Morambro Creek Cabernet Sauvignon

Totally opaque midnight black dark red core with a deep dark red black hue. Pronounced ripe blackcurrant aromas mix with dark chocolate, vanillin cedar, earthy leather and spicy tobacco notes. Very rich and full in body, opulently textured ripe blackcurrant flavours are layered across the palate underscored by choc mint, vanillin cedar, earth and spicy bay leaf. Firm yet fine grained tannins have a slightly chewy feel. Excellent power with a long conclusion.

There's heft, there's tannin, there's a general prettiness and there's plenty of length. We have ourselves a prime target here. Violets and mint, boysenberry and blackcurrant, smoky/cedary oak. Chains of tannin pull through a volume of satiny fruit. In for the long haul. Drink by 2035.
