2015 Mollydooker Blue Eyed Boy Shiraz

Totally opaque inky black colour with a dark purple black hue. Elevated aromas of ripe black cherries, black plums and liquorice overlay toasty vanillin oak and spice. Thickly textured and extravagantly rich the palate is swamped with succulent black cherry and liquorice flavours with ensuing toasty oak and spicy blackpepper nuances. There’s a fair dose of heat on the finish, a result of the lofty 16.5% alcohol, which some will find too much to handle. Velvety tannins. Excellent power with a long lavish aftertaste of ripe black cherries, black plums, liquorice and spicy toasted oak.
Drink over the next 4-5 years.
