Matured for 18 months in French oak. Totally opaque black dark red colour with a deep dark red hue. Pronounced blackberry, dark cherry and liquorice aromas intermix with hints of earthy dark chocolate and dried herbs. Medium to full bodied with ripe chewy tannins imparting some firmness on the back palate, flavours of ripe dark cherries and liquorice sit over earth, vanillin cedar, fresh herb infusions, spice and bright acidity. Finishes dry with a slightly clipped aftertaste.
