2015 Lethbridge Pinot Noir
Deep dark red colour with black tinged edges and a dark red hue. Perfumed violet scents intermix with dark cherries, plum and clove followed by dried meats, earth and spicy cedar. Light to medium weight the spicy palate sees flavours of red and sour cherries as well as strawberries infused with dried clove characters. Some meatiness and light earthy cedar ensues. Finishes dry with good fresh acidity and finely grained tannins. Good length concluding with an aftertaste of spicy red and sour cherries, fresh strawberries, clove, some meatiness and earthy cedar.
Cellar 5-6 years.
Alc. 12.8%
Other Reviews….
Not that this is for guzzling but it has a thirst-quenching quality about it. It's the acidity and the abundance of juicy, tangy cherry fruit with whole-bunch qualities and it's overall freshness. It's by no means simple, the tannins are supple, the body compact, oak part of the equation but not dominating and the feeling this is special. Drink by 2026.
