2015 Leasingham Classic Clare Provis Vineyard Shiraz

Matured for 16 months in a combination of French oak puncheons and barriques. Impenetrable pitch black core with a deep dark red black hue. Lofty aromas of blackberry and liquorice sail out of the glass with hints of black cherry also evident. Vanillin cedar, fennel and spicy pepper notes follow suit. Rich, dense and lush the full bodied palate is awash with opulent liquorice, blackberry and dark plum flavours which oversee a back drop of spicy vanillin cedar, fennel and pepper. Sturdy yet velvet like tannins. Excellent concentration and depth with a long liquorice, blackberry, black cherry, vanillin cedar, smoky fennel and pepper aftertaste.
